Biography

Nicolas Serrano-Velarde is a Full Professor in the Department of Finance at Università Bocconi. Since 2020 he is a Research Professor at Halle Institute for Economic Research and since 2021 he is Head of the Job Market Committee at Università Bocconi.  

His research interests cover a wide range of topics in financial economics. He is the author of numerous articles on his topics of interest. His works have been published in the Journal of Political Economy, The Review of Financial Studies and the Journal of Financial Economics, among others. 

He has a Master’s Degree in International Economics from Sciences Po and a Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute. In 2016 he was Visiting Scholar at the Department of Economics at Harvard University.
