Biography

Nicola Limodio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at Università Bocconi. Previously he had consultant positions at the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. 

His research focuses on the study of financial institutions in emerging markets, the identification of their constraints and the optimal design of local financial institutions, especially the intersection between finance, political economy, and development. His main projects are taking place in Pakistan, Ethiopia, and Colombia. He is the author of numerous articles on his topics of interest. His works have been published in the Management Science Journal, the Review of Financial Studies and The Economic Journal, among others.  

He got his Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2017 and a Bsc and Msc in Economics from the University of Pisa and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna.
