Maurizio Dallocchio

Biography

Maurizio Dallocchio is a Full Professor of Corporate Finance at SDA and at Bocconi University.

He was the Dean of SDA Bocconi School of Management from 2003 to 2007. He was also the Master in Corporate Finance Director from 2000 to 2016 and Director of the Finance and Real Estate Department from 1992 to 2002. He manages numerous research projects and School awards along with major education initiatives and applied researches. A licensed Public Accountant and founder of DGPA & Co in 1991, (a corporate finance consultancy firm actively involved in M&A operations) his main interests lie in M&A, corporate restructuring, corporate valuation, strategic and financial planning, corporate governance and financial sustainability.

He is the author of around one hundred publications, including “Corporate Finance” (Ed. Wiley & Sons, 5th ed., 2018, with P.Quiry, A.Salvi and Y.Le Fur), worldwide adopted in MBA and MSc finance courses. He researched and taught in a number of international institutions, among which London Business School (LBS), International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Stockholm School of Economics and New York University (NYU-Stern). For many years, he was member of the Academic Council of CEIBS (China Europe International Business School, Shanghai). He took part in prestigious advisory boards of domestic and international organizations. He holds key positions in the governance of numerous companies and institutions like The Walt Disney Company, Klepierre Management, General Finance or Podravska Banka. He had roles and responsibilities in major transactions, including privatizations, IPOs, and restructurings. As an expert adviser, he held and holds responsibility roles in banks, financial and social security institutions. He was also chair (and member) of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Audit Committee.

Maurizio earned a Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and complete his studies at London Business School and New York University. He ran the New York City Marathon twenty three times in a row and has long played in the SDA Bocconi soccer team as goalkeeper, proudly nicknamed "Saponetta Dallocchio“ (“Dallocchio bar of soap”) because of his remarkable performances. His passion for George Lucas’ Star Wars was crowned by a cameo as dubbing actor of the Italian edition of the 7th episode.
