Biography

Matteo Vizzaccaro is the Deputy Director of the Finance area at SDA Bocconi School of Management, where he teaches Corporate Finance and M&A as a core faculty member. Additionally, he is a lecturer in "Istituzioni e Mercati Finanziari" at Università Bocconi in Milan.

His research focuses on M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and business valuation. He is the author of publications and books, including "Making Mergers and Acquisition Work: from strategy and target selection to post merger integration" (Emerald Publishing).

Between 2018 and 2020, Matteo served as the Business Developer for the Middle East and North Africa region at SDA, contributing to partnership agreements with significant international players. He has taught at various institutions in the region, including École Supérieure des affaires in Lebanon and Effat University in Saudi Arabia. He is the Co-director of the SDA course "Finanza Straordinaria: come gestire le cessioni e le acquisizioni" and a member of the Faculty at SDA Bocconi Asia Center in Mumbai. Matteo is also the Project Leader of the Best Performance Award, an annual SDA Bocconi award (in collaboration with Mediolanum, PwC, Fondazione Veronesi, Havas, and Radio Dee Jay) dedicated to Italian companies that have excelled in sustainable development.

Matteo earned his degree in Economics and Business Legislation from Università Bocconi and completed his Ph.D. at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He is the father of Azzurra and Leonardo.
