Marianna Lo Zoppo

Marianna Lo Zoppo is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Operations & Supply Chain Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management, where she has worked since 2019. Since 2025, she has also taught the course “Technology, Innovation and Operations Management” at Bocconi University.

At SDA Bocconi, she is the Coordinator and a member of the Invernizzi AGRI Lab team (Romeo and Enrica Invernizzi Agribusiness Research Initiative), the research laboratory dedicated to Italian agriculture and the challenges facing the agrifood sector. She is also Program Coordinator for several of the School’s executive education programs, including custom programs developed for Enel, Leonardo and Gruppo Cremonini.

Marianna has contributed to numerous research, outreach and education initiatives focused on the agrifood sector, approached from an operations and supply chain management perspective. In this field, her research interests and publications focus on risk management, supply chain sustainability and resilience, innovation, the adoption of new technologies and business models, and opportunities for growth, collaboration and aggregation among companies. She is the author of several books, book chapters and articles on these topics, published by Economia & Management, Springer, Egea and Edagricole.

She holds a PhD in Management & Innovation from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and an MSc in Economics and Legislation for Business from Bocconi University.
