Ludovica Borsoi

Ludovica Borsoi is Assistant Professor of Practice in the Government, Health & Not for Profit Knowledge Division at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Since 2015, she has been working in the research area of Economic Evaluations and HTA of CERGAS SDA Bocconi (Centre for research on health and social care management).

Her research and teaching activities primarily focus on the use of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in healthcare decision-making processes, economic evaluations (cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, cost-consequence analyses) applied to healthcare technologies and programs, and patient preferences elicitation. She has collaborated with the Italian Ministry of Health on several research projects, including the definition of methods for the implementation of the National HTA Program for Medical Devices. Additionally, she has participated in European research projects such as Mapping NCD (FP7-HEALTH), CINDERELLA (HORIZON-HEALTH-2021, ongoing), and JACARDI (EU4H-2022-JA-03, ongoing).

She has published several articles in international peer-reviewed journals (including The European Journal of Health Economics, BMJ Open, Health Policy, International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care, Medical Decision Making). She is the author of several chapters published in the annual report of the Observatory on Healthcare Organizations and Policies in Italy (OASI) on the topics of HTA and healthcare expenditure.

She holds a Master of Science in Economics and Social Sciences from Università Bocconi (Milan) and is a PhD in Management and Innovation from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan).
