Biography

Luca Brusati is a Fellow of the Government, Health and Not for Profit Division at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is Associate Professor of Management at Udine University.

At SDA Bocconi he has directed programs for senior executives in national and regional governments. He is Program Director of the course "From lobbying to advocacy: mobilizing communities to shape public policies".He conducted numerous research, training and consulting projects with the European Commission, the UN, WHO, UNDP, UNICEF, UNAIDS, the World Bank, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria, GIZ, Kreditanstalt für Wiederauafbau, the Luxembourg Development Agency, the Global Business School Network and many others. His research activities focus on business-government relations and participation by citizens, firms and NGOs to decision-making by public sector organizations.

His current research addresses the applicability of Kingdon's "multiple streams framework" to the understanding of decision-making by Italian public sector organizations. He is the author of numerous books and articles. His work has been published, among others, in Public Management Review, the International Journal of Public Sector Management and Singapore Management Review.

Luca Brusati won numerous teaching and research awards, including the "Best Public Management Training Programme of the Year" award in 2008 and the "Internationalization and Innovation in Public Management Training" award in 2014 by SDA Bocconi. He also serves on the advisory board of medical schools and professional associations, in Italy and abroad. He is a member of the Italian Academy of Management (AIDEA) and served in the Board and the EU Advisory Committee of the European Health Management Association (EHMA); he is also a special adviser for sustainability reporting of the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for SMEs (EFAA).

He earned a MSc and a PhD in Management from Bocconi University.
