Biography

Lanny Martin is a Professor of Political Science at Università Bocconi. He is also a research fellow in the Politics and Institutions unit of the Dondena Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Public Policy. His research focuses on comparative political institutions, legislative politics, political economy, and coalition government. He teaches courses on democratic representation, European politics, parties and elections, and executives and legislatures. He is the author of numerous articles on his topics of interest. His works have been published in the American Journal of Political Science, American Political Science Review, and British Journal of Political Science, among others. He got a PhD in Political Sciences from the University of Rochester in 2000.
