Daniela Preite

Daniela Preite is Affiliate Professor of Financial Accounting at SDA Bocconi School of Management. She is full Professor of Business Administration and Accounting at the University of Milan, where she is President of the exams and graduation committees.

At SDA Bocconi, she is the creator and the current Director of  the Network Conti & Controlli nelle Amministrazioni Pubbliche - NETCAP (since 2005), a program aimed at encouraging the professional growth of executive board members. and manager.  She has undertaken research and training projects with some important public institutions, non-profit organizations and major enterprises.

Her research activities focus on various fields, including Financial Accounting & Analysis, Planning and Control, Internal Auditing, Performance Management and Measurement, Corporate Governance, Risk Assessment and Management, Sustainable Accounting and Finance, Accountability and Reporting, Business Government Relations, Change Management.
She is the author of several books and articles on her topics of interest. Her works have been published in important journal, such as  Cities, Administration & Society,  Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Management Control, Economia & Management. She has taken part in many national and international conferences and she is member of Italian Academy of Business Administration and Management (AIDEA) and Italian Society of Accounting and Business Administration (SIDREA). She was Vice Chairman of Coop Lombardia, which operates in in the sector of large-scale retail trade, where she was a member of the Emoluments Committee and President of the Financial Committee, which has advisory and guiding duties on the management of the securities portfolio and on the financial management of the Cooperative (Risk Management and approval of periodic financial reports). She was Chairman and member of the Evaluation and Strategic Control Unit. She is a member of the Boards of Directors or Statutory Auditor of listed companies and was included in the Top 100 Women's Executive list (FOOD 2021). 

Daniela earned a Degree in Economics and Banking, cum laude, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management. She is Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Registry of Auditors Accountants. She is also the author of essays on personal growth.
