Biography

Clelia Iacomino is a Fellow at the Space Economy Evolution Lab of SDA Bocconi School of Management, that joined in 2018. 

Her research interests and scientific publications focus on topics related to management, innovation policies, governance, and the role of public institutions in the space sector. She has also coordinated and participated in international research projects involving public institutions and major companies in the space industry. Between 2021 and 2022, she served as a Space Economy Expert collaborating with the Department for Digital Transformation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, focusing on issues related to expenditure on space projects under the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan). Additionally, she actively participated in significant national initiatives within the realms of Earth observation and the development of new infrastructures for commercial space stations.

Her books and scientific articles have been published in major international and national journals such as Springer, Acta Astronautica, Economia and Management, in reports by the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) and ISPI (Institute for International Political Studies), and presented at international conferences such as the IAC (International Astronautical Congress), Economics of Space Debris workshop at CODER, and Summit for Space Sustainability. She also served as a reviewer for the academic journal New Space, contributing to the special issue "Space Economy Evolution."

Clelia earned her Master's degree in Political Science - International Relations from Università La Sapienza and a Master's in Institutions and Space Policies from the SIOI (Italian Society for International Organization) in Rome. She is currently a PhD Candidate in Management & Innovation at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.
