Behzad Maleki Vishkaei

Behzad Maleki Vishkaei is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Operations and Supply Chain Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is also a Researcher at the Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain (SOSC) Monitor at SDA Bocconi School of Management. 

Since 2023, Behzad has been working at Bocconi University. Before joining Bocconi, he was a Ricercatore (RTDa) at Luiss University in Rome. Beyond academia, Behzad has extensive professional experience in the corporate sector, having worked with different companies on operations, strategic management, and project management activities. This professional background strongly informs his teaching and research, allowing him to bring real-world managerial challenges and applied perspectives into the classroom.
Behzad teaches across undergraduate, graduate, and executive education programs. His teaching and research domains include Sustainable Supply Chains, Operations Management, Circular Economy, Logistics and Transportation, and Service Operations Management. His teaching approach combines rigorous academic frameworks with industry best practices, international standards, and applied tools, with a strong focus on supporting managerial decision-making in complex operational contexts.

His research has been published in international journals and book chapters in the fields of operations and supply chain management. His combined academic and professional background enables him to effectively bridge theory and practice in both research and teaching.

Behzad holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering, which underpins both his academic research and applied industry work.
