Andrea Colli

Biography
Andrea Colli is Full Professor of Economic History and Geopolitics at Bocconi University.
At SDA Bocconi, he teaches in several courses and programs on Geopolitics & Strategy, adopting an approach that blends historical analysis, economic dynamics, and international perspectives. At the university, his teaching includes Geopolitics for Business, Geopolitics: History, Geography and Power Dynamics, Global Scenarios, The Making of the Present – A Global History of Globalization
His research focuses on economic history, business history, global history, international relations, and geopolitics.
Among his main publications are The History of Family Business 1850–2000 (Cambridge University Press, 2003), Mapping European Corporations: Strategy, Structure, Ownership and Performance (Routledge, 2012) e The Endurance of Large Family Businesses Around the World (Cambridge University Press, 2013), Dynamics of International Business (Routledge 2016), Globalization: A Key Idea for Business and Society (Routledge 2024)
Andrea Colli holds a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and a PhD in Economic and Social History. He has been a visiting scholar and fellow at leading international institutions, including Harvard Business School (Alfred D. Chandler Jr. International Fellow) and the European University Institute (Fernand Braudel Senior Fellow).
