Adam M. Golodner is the CEO of Vortex Strategic Consulting, LLC, where he serves as an advisor to companies and organizations on global cyber, emerging technology, and national security issues.  A former global law firm partner, technology company executive, senior Justice Department official, and academic, Adam brings a holistic approach to helping companies navigate global the intersection of cyberspace, technology, markets, and governments.

 

Focused for over 25 years on the intersection of technology, policy, economics and law, Adam has helped companies and countries both manage cyber risk and drive innovation and security into products and networks.  His past positions have included Senior Counsel, Global Cyber Practice, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer, LLP; Partner and Leader Global Cyber Practice, Kaye Scholer, LLP; Director, Global Security and Technology Policy, Cisco Systems, Inc.; Associate Director, Institute for Security, Technology and Society Dartmouth College; Chief of Staff, Antitrust Division, US Department of Justice; and Deputy Administrator, Rural Utilities Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Search Manager, the White House Office of Presidential Personnel.

 

In law and policy, the National Law Journal recognized Adam in its inaugural list as a “Cybersecurity Trailblazer”, the Cybersecurity Docket named him in its inaugural list to the “Incident Response 30,” and he has been recognized as a leading cyber lawyer in Chambers Global (for China Cyber), Chambers USA, The Legal 500, and Global Investigations Review.

 

In addition to his work with Vortex Strategic Consulting Adam is the Founder of AMG Global Cyber Law PLLC, where provides legal services for cutting edge technology firms, and helps clients manage global cyber issues.

 

He is also a Senior Advisor to WestExec Advisors, a strategic advisory firm that offers unique geopolitical and policy expertise to help business leaders make the best decisions in a complex and volatile international landscape.

 

Dedicated to public service, he also serves as the Vice-Chair of the Tech and Innovation Council of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), an Executive Fellow at the Corporate Information Security (CISO) Roundtable at SDA Bocconi School of Management, a Visiting Fellow at the George Mason University National Security Institute (NSI), an Executive Fellow at the Center for Digital Strategies at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth (CDS), and is a member of the FBI’s InfraGard program.  Adam is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the George Mason University Law School and has taught classes on cybersecurity and FinTech.
