Adam Golodner is Senior Counsel in Arnold & Porter’s Global Cybersecurity & Privacy Practice Group. With a unique career spanning more than 20 years of leadership positions in business, academia and government, Adam is well recognized for providing high-impact strategic advice and resolving the most complex issues at the intersection of technology, security, national security, innovation and economics.

Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, he spent ten years running global cyber policy for Cisco Systems, Inc., and served in government (Justice Department, Agriculture Department, The White House), and academia (Dartmouth College, ISTS). He has deep experience with cyber issues facing clients including cyber best practices, litigation, data breach response, vulnerability management, product security, regulatory compliance, supply chain security, requirements for data in the cloud, and security and privacy due diligence for transactions.  He also regularly helps clients frame up global cyber issues and go-forward strategies for corporate senior leaders, and boards of directors. Most of all, he has valuable insight into not only what you can and can’t do - but what you should do.   

He is a recognized global cyber legal leader, having been selected for inclusion in Chambers USA, Chambers Global, National Law Journal Cyber Trailblazer, Legal 500, Incident Response 30, and been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Financial Times, Time, and other publications. He typically works on issues with global impacts, and brings deep knowledge of cyber issues in the U.S., EU, UK, Germany, France, China, India, Russia, and other markets.   

Adam is also a Senior Advisor at The Chertoff Group, a member of Business Executives for National Security, and an Executive Fellow with the Center for Digital Strategies at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, a Fellow at the National Security Institute, and an Adjunct Professor of Law at the George Mason University Law School.
