Rob Tourt is a Vice President/Chief Information Security Office (CISO) at Discover Financial Services (Discover). He is responsible for second-line risk management of Information and Cyber Security. Previously, Rob led Discover's Payment Services risk organization, where he was responsible for internal control, counterparty risk management, compliance and fraud prevention activities.   

Rob joined Discover in 1985 as a fraud investigator.  Since that time, he has held positions in virtually all areas of the business including sales, operations and customer service.  Notably, he led the integration of the Diners Club International into DFS, which enabled a merchant acceptance footprint for Discover Cards worldwide.  

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.  He also completed post-graduate work at Arizona State University.  He is a former board member of the Merchant Risk Council (MRC, a global fraud prevention industry group) and a founding board member and past chairman of the Payment Card Security Standards Council (PCI SSC).  He previously represented Discover on the Federal Reserve System’s Secure Payments Task Force.
