The Accounting, Finance and Control Function is changing and requires greater integration with other parts of the organization in order to support and drive better decision-making and value creation. A combination of accounting and financial expertise, business understanding and analytical skills: these are the characteristics of successful finance professionals in this context. The Strategic Finance program – delivered by two top European business schools, SDA Bocconi and the Rotterdam School of Management -  is designed to provide high potential controllers and finance managers with tools and frameworks to become effective business partners in their organizations.

What you’ll get


The learning experience is based on the following pillars:

  • 8 days (in two 4-day modules) of face-to-face sessions held in Milan and Rotterdam by a mixed international faculty from the two business schools
  • Networking events at the beginning of each module
  • Key-note speeches on relevant issues for the Finance Functions (macro-economic scenarios)
  • Individual action plan

Program contents include:

  • Drive better decisions to execute strategy (macroeconomic scenarios, the impact of the environment on firms and their strategy, operations and expansion, linking corporate strategy to value measures)
  • Producing relevant information: developing AFC core capabilities (advanced assets and business valuation; designing effective management dashboards; advanced data analytics, strategic tax management, risk management)
  • Actively manage relationships and resources (corporate governance, persuasive leadership)

The final deadline for enrollment is 3 September 2019.  Enrollment requests are reviewed on a rolling basis, those received after the final deadline may not be accepted.

At the end of the inititative, each participant will receive a certificate of attendance.

A 10% reduction on the program fee is offered to applications sent in by 25 July 2019.
