On Wednesday, 17 February 2027, from 2:30 PM to 5:45 PM, the SDA Bocconi Campus in Milan will host the third EMMAS Open Class, an opportunity to discover the Executive Master in Management of Healthcare and Social Care Organizations (EMMAS).

Digital transformation has become one of the main drivers of innovation in the healthcare sector. Electronic health records, artificial intelligence, telemedicine, digital platforms, decision support systems, and the growing use of data are fundamentally reshaping the way healthcare services are designed, delivered, and evaluated.

The challenge, however, goes far beyond technology. The value of digital innovation depends on an organization's ability to rethink processes, roles, skills, and ways of working, embedding innovation into everyday practice while supporting people through change. Implementing digital solutions therefore requires leading a broader organizational transformation, in which technology, people, and management evolve together in a coherent and integrated way.

During the session, Francesco Petracca, Professor of Healthcare Management at SDA Bocconi, will explore the conditions that enable healthcare and social care organizations to translate digital investments into tangible value for professionals, patients, and the healthcare system. Drawing on practical examples and real-world cases, the session will examine the key success factors behind effective implementation, including strategic vision, stakeholder engagement, process redesign, the development of digital capabilities, and the ability to measure the impact of innovation.

The Open Class is also an opportunity to discover EMMAS's learning model, which approaches digital innovation first and foremost as a management challenge rather than a technological one, preparing participants to lead change in increasingly complex and interconnected organizations.

Only five places are available. If you would like to attend, please send your CV to priscilla.gatto@sdabocconi.it.
