LIVE | Bridging Research and Market: Financing and Deploying AI in European Health Systems

Is AI-based innovation in healthcare truly sustainable? And under what conditions can it be scaled and integrated into real-world clinical practice?
This webinar, organized within the activities of the CERGAS Digital Transformation Hub at SDA Bocconi, brings together the European project CINDERELLA and a panel of leading experts to address one key challenge: how research-driven innovation - often supported by substantial EU investment - can move beyond experimentation and achieve real impact in healthcare systems.
CINDERELLA, an EU-funded project focused on breast cancer care, explores the use of advanced AI solutions for clinical decision support and the evaluation of surgical outcomes. Starting from this concrete case, the workshop will open a broader discussion on the scalability and sustainability of digital and AI-based innovations emerging from research initiatives.
Key discussion points will include:
- which business models can support the long-term viability of AI-based healthcare innovations
- the perspective of investors and the conditions under which these solutions become investable
- the role of healthcare providers in driving (or hindering) adoption and investment decisions
- the organizational and system-level conditions required to move from pilot projects to routine clinical use
The discussion will bring together perspectives from research, clinical practice, industry, and investment.
Participation is free upon online registration.
