We saw it again with the latest Winter Olympics. Every time Italy is awarded a major international event, the same sequence unfolds: initial enthusiasm, early protests, mounting deadline pressure, some controversy and then, finally, the event itself. But what is the final outcome?
 

Dino Ruta, Rector’s Delegate for Olympic Affairs at Bocconi University and Professor of Practice in Leadership, Sports & Events Business at SDA Bocconi School of Management, as well as author of Olympic Colors - Sport and the Games as a Spark for Wellbeing and Development (Egea), will discuss this topic together with Diana Bianchedi, Chief Strategy, Planning and Legacy Officer for Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, Deputy Vice President of CONI and Sports Physician, and Michael Gandler, FIFA Master Alumnus and Chief Business Officer at AS Roma.
