Leggere il Presente | La Fiducia che Protegge

After every flood, blackout or cyber alert, the culture of safety and security comes back into focus. Today, it is a recurring theme in public and institutional discourse. But to what extent is it actually put into practice? In the world we live in, the culture of safety and security is more often invoked than genuinely implemented.
Franco Gabrielli, Professor of Practice in Public Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management, will discuss this topic together with Elisabetta Trinchero, Associate Professor of Practice in Public Management at SDA Bocconi School of Management. Both are authors of La cultura della sicurezza - Istituzioni e comunità nella gestione di crisi ed emergenze (Egea). The book compares statements of intent with Italian case studies to explore how public organizations can truly turn the experience of crises into lasting learning and transform safety and security from a stated principle into a practice shared with communities. Moderated by journalist Francesca Todini.
