Leggere il Presente | Chi comanda tra noi e gli algoritmi?

Leggere il presente presente is SDA Bocconi Roma's book club. A series of meetings where the issues reshaping businesses, markets and institutions become conversation: with those who study them, those who live them, those who decide. Each appointment starts from a concrete question and a book that brings it into focus. In one hour, it becomes clear where the game is played and what room for action is available.
Who is in charge - us or the algorithms?
Platforms and artificial intelligence shape choices, attention, behaviours. They do so invisibly, inside processes that very few people truly control. But to what extent are we still the ones deciding, and where does the conditioning begin? And above all: are there concrete tools to navigate the digital world on our own terms?
The discussion will feature Antonio Palmieri, co-founder and President of Fondazione Pensiero Solido and author of Non è colpa dell’algoritmo! Idee per usare bene la nostra libertà nell’era digitale (Egea), together with Diego Ciulli, Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google Italy, Sara Bentivegna, Full Professor of Political Communication at Sapienza University of Rome, and Roberto Basso, Director of External Affairs and Sustainability at Wind Tre, offering different perspectives from institutional, academic and corporate contexts.
