With a port network that is strategic to energy supply and a central position in the Mediterranean, Italy can strengthen its energy security and its role as a hub for the subsea infrastructure connecting Europe with Africa and the Middle East, turning the energy and digital transitions into opportunities for industrial development.

The presentation of the findings from the second year of research of the Blue Economy Monitor, conducted in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, will also provide an opportunity for discussion with leading industry stakeholders on the conditions needed to mitigate risks and seize the opportunities arising from energy market dynamics, as well as on the need to protect critical infrastructure and leverage Italian expertise.
