Keynote speaker
Jeffrey Pfeffer, the Thomas D. Dee II Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University. Jeff is a world renowned authority in Human Resources Management, a field to which he has contributed with milestone works like Competitive Advantage through People (HBS Press, 1994), The Human Equation: Building Profits by Putting People First (HBS Press, 1998) and Hidden Value: How Great Companies Achieve Extraordinary Results with Ordinary People (HBS Press, 2000). Jeff’s keynote will leverage on his latest, groundbreaking, provocative book Dying for a Paycheck: How Modern Management Harms Employee Health and Company Performance—and What We Can Do About It (HarperCollins, 2018), in which he  contends that many modern management commonalities such as long work hours, work-family conflict, and economic insecurity are toxic to employees—hurting engagement, increasing turnover, and destroying people’s physical and emotional health—and also inimical to company performance.
