The rapid spread of the coronavirus forced governments around the world to introduce lockdowns onto their economies for a long period of time, with unequal effects on different types of workers.

 

In this seminar, starting from a brief overview of structural gender inequalities in the labour market, we will show the effect of the pandemic on the work of women and how public policy responded to this challenge.
