Jean-Michel Caye, Senior Partner & Managing Director, The Boston Consulting Group, Paris
Moderated by: Dino Ruta
February 15th, 2012 from 6.30 pm to 9 pm
In the 2011 issue of Creating People Advantage report, BCG and the European Association for People Management present the results of their third annual European HR survey, with responses from more than 2,000 executives, from 35 countries across different industries, and 58 one-on-one interviews, including board and executive committee members of multinational companies. Besides reviewing what’s at the top of the HR agenda across Europe, the report discusses four hot topics in depth:
- Workforce diversity addresses many business challenges today, and the first step is to build an analytical foundation for appropriate diversification.
- Demographic changes and the attendant talent scarcity have major implications for talent management and leadership development. Instead of fighting the “war for talent” by bidding up prices for recruits, we advocate a greater emphasis on developing homegrown talent.
- Technological shifts increase the importance of online social media for use in recruiting, engagement, and communications. Use of social networks is high and rising among older generations, not just younger ones.
- Globalization demands more from HR, including the development of a global delivery model, more standardized activities, and more international expertise.
The Organization and Human Resources Management Department of SDA Bocconi School of Management, in cooperation with AIDP (Associazione Italiana Direttori del Personale), is pleased to invite you to the Meeting HR Leaders with Jean-Michel Caye.
Jean-Michel Caye is Senior Partner & Managing Director in the Paris office of The Boston Consulting Group. He is an organization and human resources expert, now leading the HR/people advantage and talent topics for BCG globally. Before joining BCG, Jean-Michel was a director at HayGroup, responsible for the reward practice in France. Jean-Michel holds degrees in economics, political science, business law and human resources.
