Candidates are required to have
- Bachelor degree (in any discipline)
Applicants should have a bachelor level university degree and the overall education career from primary school to completing the bachelor degree must be of at least fifteen years.MPM is open to students with different backgrounds. However, those with a background/interest in social sciences and/or international affairs will get the most from MPM.
- Work Experience
At least three years post-bachelor work experience is an advantage in the admission process but is not an essential requirement. Applications from candidates with limited professional experience, who have a strong interest in international public management, will be taken into consideration.
- English language: TOEFL, IELTS or similar.
MPM is taught entirely English. Therefore, a good working knowledge of the language is mandatory. Candidates are required to take the TOEFL, IELTS (or similar test) in order to demonstrate their proficiency. This requirement does not apply to students who are native English speakers or who have completed a University program in English.
*TOEFL results can be submitted to the SDA Bocconi School of Management using code number 0698. This will allow our office to directly receive the result of the exam. Candidates who have already taken the test must contact ETS to have their original score report forwarded to the Admissions Office.
A GMAT or GRE result is mandatory for all applicants. The GMAT is an internationally recognized test in English that evaluates your quantitative, verbal, and analytical skills. Although there is no required minimum score for admission, a high score is beneficial during the admission process. Candidates for the 2013/14 edition of MPM are requested to take a test by 31 May 2013 and test results prior to January 2008 are no longer valid. When the test is taken, the name of the School should be specified, which will allow our Admissions Service to receive the results directly. The identification code for MPM is 3WJ-L8-72 and for GRE you may require the scores to be send directly to the School at SDA Bocconi School of Management code 3710.
The admission process
The application procedure runs on a rolling basis, and the final assessment of each application will take place once the candidate has completed all required tests and submitted all required documents. Candidates will receive an admission decision within one week after they submit all required documents.
Given the large volume of applications, those received well in advance of the deadline have a greater chance of being admitted. Therefore, it is in the interest of all candidates to submit their application as early as possible.
- Rolling online application
- Feedback in one week from receipt of the online application
- Selection result in one week from receipt of all required documents
To apply to the MPM program, candidates must complete an application. In order to avoid any unnecessary delays, we encourage candidates to familiarize themselves with MPM requirements and admission procedures.

This must include grades for individual subjects and the grading scale. Applicants who obtained a university degree in Italy must provide a self-declaration of the Degree Certificate and Transcript (form provided by their university). This self-declaration is only for students graduated from Italian universities.
