We Are Looking for Highly Motivated Public Servants

The MPA is a I level Master program, following Bocconi University’s application procedure. To guarantee the best quality of learning we need you and the other participants to have a good educational background, a certain professional experience, and a strong push for innovation. For this reason the participation requirements and selection criteria for the MPA are rigorous and demanding.

You are required to have:

  • A three-year or higher degree in any discipline received from an Italian or foreign university
  • At least two years professional experience and an international profile
  • Fluency in the English language

What We Need from You

Admission to the program depends on a rigorous selection process based on several factors including graduation, curriculum, references, and, last but not least, an interview. As places fill up gradually we recommend you submit your application as early as possible.

How to apply

To welcome you to the MPA we need the following from you:

  • Online Application: apply through the “My Application” Admissions portal. Download the Guidelines for the Online Application (pdf).
  • Degree certificate and transcripts, showing type of degree, enrollment and graduation date, list of exams taken, and grade point average in original language plus official translation in Italian or English together with the grading scale, indicating the minimum passing grade and maximum achievable.
  • Two letters of reference from people who know you well, and can comment knowledgeably about your professional and/or academic background, and provide a detailed evaluation of your qualifications.
However, applications from graduates with no work experience but interested in a career in the public sector could be taken into consideration by the Director.
  • Proficiency in English: you must be highly proficient in written and spoken English. You are required to submit an English language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS, or CPE).
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • GRE or GMAT official test score, if available.
  • Online Video Interview (strongly recommended, not compulsory)
  • Interview: after an initial review of your application, a selected number of candidates will be invited for an admission interview. This will allow you to show that you possess the skills, talents and motivations that are essential to getting the most out of the MPA program. The interview will take place remotely (via webcam).
  • Admissions fee: euro 100 to be made by credit card through the PayTool

If you need a visa for study purposes, we recommend you apply within the first or second round of selection, considering that obtaining a visa for Italy is normally a time-consuming process, and visas are normally released by the competent Italian authority during the summer.
