Candidates are required to have
- University Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 4 years of work experience (not necessarily in Marketing or Sales)
- Be at least 27 years old
- Fluency in English. Candidates whose mother tongue is not English are required to submit a TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or CPE result
The application form is available exclusively online and must be completed in English with accurate and precise information regarding your personal and professional experiences and your reasons for attending the Program.

The application form must be completed with

- Degree Certificate
You are required to submit an official degree certificate from the college or university attended, along with a transcript of grades for individual courses/modules. The type of degree, date of graduation, dates of enrolment, grades received and the grading scale must be clearly stated in this documentation.
Applicants who obtained a university degree in Italy must provide a self-declaration of the Degree Certificate and Transcript (form provided by their university). This self-declaration is only for students graduated from Italian universities.
- Proficiency in English
The EMMS is held entirely in English, thus all applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English. If English is not your mother tongue, you must submit a result of the TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic test or CPE test. At the testing site, you can specify that your results be sent directly to SDA Bocconi (TOEFL School Code - 0698, PTE School Code - R7G-6R- 23). If you have already taken one of these tests, the original results must be sent directly to the school. Test results prior to January 2015 are no longer valid. A test result may be waived for students who took a degree in English or can document significant professional experience in an English-speaking country.
- One letter of reference
This assessment should be submitted by individuals who are well acquainted with the applicant’s performance in a work or academic setting.
The reference form enclosed with the application pack should be used. The reference letter can be either emailed directly by the referee from his/her company email address to: firstname.lastname@example.org
or sent by land mail in a sealed envelope signed on the back by the referee.
Candidates will be invited to an interview with the EMMS Director. The interview may take place on campus at SDA Bocconi or remotely by telephone or via webcam.

The admission process
The EMMS admission process is rigorous and designed not only to determine whether candidates are qualified for the EMMS program, but also whether the program will meet each candidate’s expectations and career goals.
Applications are examined on a rolling basis and those received well in advance have a greater chance of being admitted. Therefore, it is in the interest of all candidates to submit their application as early as possible.
Candidates will receive a formal letter from the Admissions Service informing them of the admission decision as soon as the selection process is completed. Results are never communicated via telephone.
The selection process will yield one of the following three results:
If accepted, the candidate receives an official letter of admission and a contract for participation. The contract must be returned within the deadline indicated in the admission’s letter.
If all available places have been filled, the Schools may decide to place the candidate on a wait list or offer admission for the following year.
Admission to the Program is valid for the year the application is submitted. Deferment can be requested for the following year, but approval of deferment is on a case-by-case decision of the Admissions Committee.
Admission to the Program is highly selective. The selection process assesses the profile of the individual candidate while taking into account the composition of the EMMS class, which must be consistent with the quality and diversity the Schools require. We are aware of the deep commitment all candidates must make to go through the selection process, and the Admissions Service cannot provide individual answers to non-admitted candidates.
Upon confirmation of your admission, candidates will receive an Enrolment Form that must be completed, signed and returned within the deadline indicated in the admission’s letter. To complete the enrolment process, candidates must then make the first tuition payment.
