Admission Requirements

Academic requirements
Applicants should have an undergraduate university degree. The overall education career from primary school to completing the undergraduate degree must be of at least 15 years.
The School selects candidates from a wide range of academic, cultural and professional backgrounds. This diversity of approach, culture and experience enriches the learning process at both an individual and group level, and is one of the many elements making the MIHMEP Program truly unique.

Work experience
2-3 years post Bachelor work experience is an advantage but this is not an essential requirement. Therefore, applications from people with limited professional experience, but a strong interest in international healthcare management, will be taken into consideration.

English language
The MIHMEP is taught entirely in English. Therefore, a good working knowledge of this language is mandatory. In view of this fact, all candidates are required to demonstrate proficiency in English, either by taking the test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or any similar internationally recognized exam e.g.IELTS. This requirement does not apply to students whose native language is English or who have completed a University program or have significant work experience in an English-speaking country. It is suggested that candidates for the 2010/11 edition of the MIHMEP take the test at least 2 months before the final application deadline (July 15th 2010). At the test site, you will need to specify that you want your results sent directly to SDA Bocconi by indicating our School Code (0698). If you have already taken the test, the original results must be sent directly to the school. Any test results from before January 2005 are no longer valid.

GMAT/GRE
GRE or GMAT tests are required as a part of the selection procedure. GMAT is an internationally recognized test in English that evaluates your quantitative, verbal, and analytical skills. Although there is no required minimum score for admission, a high score is expected. It is suggested that candidates for the 2010/11 edition of the MIHMEP take the test at least 2 months before the final application deadline (July 15th 2010). When the test is taken, the name of the School should be specified allowing our Admissions Service to receive the results directly. The identification code for our MIHMEP program is 3WJL872. GMAT results prior to January 2005 are no longer valid.
