1. Can you briefly tell us about your work experience before you started MAFED?
I have worked for more than three years before I started MAFED, first two years in Unilever marketing department and then I joined McKinsey as a consultant. They are very good companies for career's start up with integrated training and on-job coaching which helps one to gain a solid base.
Yet there is a dream of doing something related with "beauty and fashion" all along my life, to find a place to learn real management of "art, design and fashion", that's why i decided to have a stop and come to MAFED.
2. What field project were you assigned for this year at MAFED and how are you liking it so far?
I was very lucky to be assigned to the Hogan field project. Hogan is one of the brands under the Tod's group, which is quite popular in Europe, especially in Italy. We have already visit the company's headquarter as well as the factory. It was an amazing experience to see a company with artistic designed office and very nice management team and employees. The project has strategic importance to meet the company's developing needs.
The project will definitely help us to practice what we learned in class in the past half a year, and put the theory into real situations The company is very supportive to us and we appreciate this opportunity so much.
3. What do you expect at the completion of the Master's program?
I would like to see myself at the completion of the program with solid knowledge of "art, fashion &design", and also become much more mature with other soft management skills, so that I could be ready for future work and life.
MAFED is not a program only teaching you knowledge, but it also helps you become a mature and perfect person. I don't have detailed expectation of exactly which companies I would like to join at this early stage, but I trust MAFED, the program and all the professors there who are more than willing to help every student find a perfect destination at the end of the program.
