The aims of the board are the following:

  • to ensure the course is aligned with the business community by providing continuous insights and feedback
  • to involve key players as part of the Invited Faculty

Michael Chivers
Corporate Vice President Human Resources, Sony Ericsson, UK. Formerly Director HR Sony UK and HR roles at Sony in Europe and Asia Pacific.

Mario Di Loreto
Global HR Director Barilla Group, Italy. Formerly Regional HR Director Italy & Central Mediterranean, Starwood Hotels & Resorts; HR Manager of Alitalia Team and HR Director of AirOne.

Hanneke Frese
Founder of FreseConsulting, Switzerland. Formerly various senior HR roles at Citibank and Zurich Financial Services. Advisory Board member of several international academic institutions such as ESADE, CEMS (2000-2005).

Rolf Frey
Member of the Executive Committee and Head of Human Resources for Switzerland, Luxemburg and Monaco at HSBC Private Bank, Geneva. Formerly various senior global and specialized HR positions in the reinsurance and IT industries.

Paul Lewis
Global Head, People & Organizational Development at Syngenta. Formerly Head of Leadership and Talent Development at UBS, Senior Vice President of HR Development for ABB, Change and Leadership Development within Shell International.

Arnoud M. Middel
Head of HR at Siegfried Ltd. Formerly Head Human Resources Syngenta, Switzerland / HQ; Senior HR management positions in companies including XL Insurance and Baloise.

Mary Jane Peters
Executive Director of the Association for Human Resources Management in International Organizations (AHRMIO). Formerly Director of the United Nations System Chief Executives Board Secretariat in Geneva and responsible for the UN’s High Level Committee on Management.

Damien Henry Teisseire
Group Head of GBM Reward, Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc - Global Banking & Markets, London. Formerly several HR positions in Goldman Sachs London, UniCredit Group Milan, EMEA at Citi London.

Gianluca Ventura

Norman Walker
Senior Advisor, TPG Capital, UK. Formerly Senior VP Human Resources for Novartis, Switzerland and Kraft Foods HR activities for commercial and manufacturing operations in 26 countries.


We are grateful to Paul Broeckx who died unexpectedly in 2010. He constantly provided the EMSHRM Board with valuable and inspiring suggestions.
