The Quantitative Methods Competence Center of SDA Bocconi School of Management brings together competencies, designs and runs research and education activities on quantitative and statistical methods and techniques, and on computer-based decision-making methods.
Particular emphasis is dedicated to applied statistics, to data analysis and modelling to support decision analysis for problems that cut across all management areas.
The mission of the competence center is to propose quantitative methods to the business world, to conduct research on the field, to study and test forms of application and modelling, and to analyse best practices.

The faculty's competencies are developed and consolidated through intense research drawing on the teachers' experience in the field and also run in close contact with the business world. In particular, the research conducted in collaboration with the School's functional areas has enabled the development of both specialist and cross-functional knowledge and skills that have led us to offer programmes that are cutting-edge in terms of innovation, in-depth analysis and effectiveness of contents.

The Quantitative Methods Competence Center has developed over time competencies that have led to the creation of open enrolment and customised education initiatives organised in an extensive and inter-functional range designed to meet the needs of those who want to support company activities with quantitative methods, tools and techniques. The projects and initiatives make reference to both operational problems and ones that are more oriented to strategy/decision-making.
Through these initiatives, the competence center offers practical instruments to support analysis, evaluations and decisions. To this end, the teaching contents and modes are developed case by case by our team to enable participants to absorb the instruments presented fully for later and effective use in the field.
