The Public Management and Policy Department boasts the expertise of approximately 100 faculty members, who for more than 30 years have devoted themselves to the study of management, governance and public economics, the managerial improvement of public administrations, of healthcare and social assistance programs and non-profit organizations, and the role they play in influencing the competitiveness and development of the country.
The faculty is steadfastly committed to research and training activities aimed at improving the management of public administrations (ministries, regions, agencies, local bodies...), healthcare (agencies, local healthcare providers, hospitals, IRCSS...) and non-profits (social assistance programs, NGOs, coops...).
The mission of the Public Management and Policy Department is to:
- contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge and skills in support of public managers, and professionals in the processes of change and innovation;
- expand the opportunities and conditions for the development of relations between the private and public sectors administrations, that are crucial for the competitiveness of country;
- provide tools for the analysis and comprehension of the economic scenario and policies in Italy and abroad.
