  • How firms cope with technological innovation and create new markets (market innovation)
  • How firms create the capability to perceive new opportunities and to integrate, reconfigure and build resources in order to convert these opportunities into revenue-producing products and services (firm innovativeness)
  • How firms recognize the value, acquire, transform or assimilate, and exploit knowledge (absorptive capacity)
  • How firms create and share knowledge across different levels of the organization (knowledge modularity) 
  • How firms organize for radical and for incremental innovation (ambidextrous organizations)
