The capacity for the effective and efficient management of the processes of purchasing, production, logistics and technological innovation has always been the basis of industrial and service companies. In the current scenario, these capacities can be enriched by networking, by a “global” approach to problem solving and a strategic vision of the impact that industrial and technological choices have on the business system.
The Operations and Technology Management Unit is the group of SDA Bocconi School of Management teachers that run research and education activities on both strategic and operational management issues regarding Supplies, Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Industrial Research, New Product Development and Technological Innovation.
Our faculty has historically combined academic rigour with the pragmatism of managers in the field and enjoys the contribution of both teachers from Università Bocconi and professionals from outside the university world.
Our competencies are made available to the School's various initiatives in diverse ways and in particular through:
- open enrolment executive courses and custom courses;
- research, both internal and in partnership with companies;
- MBA & Master programmes;
- special initiatives, such as the International Best Factory Award and the Best Innovation Award.
Our group believes strongly in the need to be very close to the real world and so for over ten years we have been fuelling with content and activities a community, denominated Club ProduzioneTecnologia, which represents the only initiative in Italy of stable networking between a university and managers and executives in our selected functional fields.
Please do not hesitate to contact me for any clarification or offer any suggestion you would like to make to improve our contribution to the development of your managerial competencies.

Enzo Baglieri
