Curriculum Vitae

Stefano Gatti is SDA Professor of Banking and Insurance at SDA Bocconi School of Management. He is Professor of Practice of Finance at Bocconi University.

At SDA Bocconi, he is Director of the Full Time MBA and, in the past, he has been the International Teachers’ Program Director. He also teaches at MISB Bocconi Mumbai. He conducted research, consulting and training projects for several financial and non-financial institutions in Italy and abroad. He was consultant for major multilateral development banks in the field of project and infrastructure finance.

His research activities focus on corporate finance and investment banking. Currently, he is focusing on four main topics: corporate financial advisory, infrastructure and project finance, corporate restructuring and private equity.

He is the author of a number of books and articles on his research fields. His works have been published in European Journal of Operational Research, Financial Management, Journal of Money Credit and Banking and the Journal of Banking and Finance. He is a board member of Economia & Management and was Chairman of the European Financial Management Association in 2005 and 2009. He has taught at Fudan University Shanghai (PRC) and has been awarded as Best MBA Teacher for 15 years in a row.

Stefano earned a Degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and theITP (International Teachers Programme) at Manchester Business School in 2003.
