Part of a broader partnership with women’s networks, SDA Bocconi welcomed directors of European Professional Women’s Network, one of the major women’s association at the European level (http://www.europeanpwn.net/).

The network has set itself the aim to cooperate with the best B-Schools with a focus on the associates’ professional growth.

The meeting was an opportunity to briefly present to the chairmen the activities led by Laboratorio Armonia, SDA Bocconi Research and Training center, on Diversity Management.

During the meeting, Annalisa Gigante, EPWN Vice President and an SDA Bocconi MBA Alumna, also presented results for her research “Board Women Monitor 2008”. The research was conducted with the sponsorship of Egon Zehnder International. It was study on the presence of women in boards as well as on board diversity.

During their annual meeting, the European networks compared the situations of their respective countries. They also discussed concrete activities to support increasing the number of women in leading positions and the best practices applicable, with a particular focus on Italy, the host of this year’s meeting.
